Preservation FAQs

  • Flowers are natural materials and will inherently fade over time. Our color correction services bring back the look of your flowers’ colors before the drying process, and protect the natural fading for a time. It is recommended that you keep any pressed & preserved pieces out of direct sunlight for the best outcomes and less accelerated fading.

  • Flowers that have been dried already will look much as they do now encased in resin pieces. If you send fresh flowers, we dry many whole and can also press them. These flowers retain their color much more in resin and are a stunning way to showcase your blooms.

  • Flowers naturally change texture and color as they are pressed and dried. We strive to keep them looking as close to their original color with our color correction services. Flowers may look different flattened out, but beautiful just the same! Flowers naturally fade in color over time, so if you do not have color correction, you may see some fading.

  • Each commission is custom built for your needs, flower types, and bouquet sizes. Most commissions start at around $500. You can find out more in our Product & Pricing Guide.

  • All resins may eventually begin to yellow over time. Our FDA approved food safe resin is more resistant to yellowing than other common craft resins. We have seen pieces that are close to 7 years old with no yellowing thus far!

  • Preservation can take up to 8 months. We take our time and care with every bouquet and petal, making sure to give each client our best and an amazing end result each time.

  • If you have leftover flowers after your special event that aren't going to be used in your commission, you can either throw them out (what a shame!) or you could donate them to Beyond the Wildflowers. We appreciate every donation and are able to create more and more art through each gift given to us.

  • We use a specialty pigment powder to color correct your flowers. The powder is carefully brushed on to each petal to coat it and bring it back to its original color. We use natural pigment colors to make sure we keep the visual of real flowers.

  • Absolutely! We specialize in restoration services. We can take dried flowers up to 30 years old upon inspection and bring them back to life using different techniques. We can also preserve dried flowers into resin pieces that will keep your blooms whole in a wonderful keepsake.

  • 1000%. We offer complimentary consultation calls. We make sure that we speak to you throughout the process to confirm mockups, sign off on colorization, and anything else that might be necessary.

  • This is absolutely an option. We will work with you on creating a custom quote based on the size of your bouquet and our standard preservation prices. You can find out more in our Product & Pricing Guide.

  • Yes you can - we always encourage accessories in your preservation pieces! During your consultation call you can discuss what items you may be looking to add.
